Global Markets: India Opens the Door to New Opportunities Saturday, March 14, 2009 Signaling this change, technical and financial collaboration opportunities between the United States and India have increased rapidly over the past five years. India, the world’s largest democracy, offers an important growth market for American tech companies. Investment, intellectual property, R&D and innovation are starting to flow in both directions: almost every blue chip venture capital partnership including such titans as Kleiner Perkins and Sequoia Capital now has an Indian operation. Equally important, Indian investors such as Baring have begun looking to the US for opportunities.
